Umair, I know how hard and challenging it can be to write. Conveying thoughts in a systematic manner that tells a story and compels the reader is no easy feat. It’s difficult.

This piece did not weave together a storyline. After reading, I felt I was being shouted at from a megaphone by a protester on the street.

Some of your points may resonate with some, but not with a critical mass, which is what I think you’d like to achieve.

Perhaps instead, focus on the very specific implications of one or two of Johnson’s policies and demonstrate these to be a ‘failed state’. After reading your piece, I’m left angry and resentful. I don’t think that’s what you want from your readers…or maybe it is? Let me know what you think!
